Yornaning Grazing is a mixed family farm with a 350 sow farrow to finish unit looking to grow. In this position you will form a key role as a part of a small team and have a direct influence on the success of the farm. This is a temporary position 3-6months.

Qualifications & experience

• Certificate in Pig Production
• Experience in Breeding and Farrowing management
• Machinery operating, mechanical and building/ construction concreting skills also looked on favorably

Tasks & responsibilities

• Farrowing house management
• Breeding
• Record keeping and quality assurance systems
• Must be able to understand full production system of a farrow to finish farm and willing to contribute where needed
• Must work well as part of a team and unsupervised
• Maintain a high standard of animal welfare
• Meet production targets and strive for improvement
