About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Pharmacist to work in Cancer Services to take charge of the organisation, management, and day-to-day operations of the designated pharmacy area. In this dynamic role, you will provide a high-level, comprehensive range of pharmacy services to patients, clinicians, and healthcare teams across the hospital. You’ll be empowered to exercise independent clinical judgement in delivering medicines information and therapeutic advice, ensuring care is aligned with hospital policies and professional pharmacy standards.

As a key contributor to patient outcomes, you’ll play an active role in promoting the safe, effective, and economical use of medicines. Your expertise will help shape best practice through the development and implementation of strategies that support the quality use of pharmaceuticals. To be successful in this role, you will have:

Extensive experience in hospital pharmacy practice, with strong knowledge of pharmacy standards, codes, and service delivery frameworks.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage a diverse range of stakeholders and supervise staff effectively.

Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to meet tight deadlines and manage complex workloads.

Demonstrated leadership in implementing improvements, training others, and contributing to service innovation within a clinical team.
