About the Opportunity
We are seeking a confident and well-presented Security Concierge Officer to be the welcoming face and security presence for a high-profile client in the heart of Adelaide’s CBD. This is a key front-line role that blends concierge-style service with a strong focus on safety and support. Operating weekdays from 8:45 to 17:15, you’ll be the first point of contact for clients and visitors, assist with day-to-day operations, and maintain an active security presence to ensure the site remains safe, secure, and professional at all times.
Success in this role requires strong computer literacy, excellent communication skills, and a calm, confident presence. You’ll be working closely with a diverse range of people, including individuals who may be experiencing personal or behavioural challenges. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of empathy, professionalism, and situational awareness to every interaction, offering both reassurance and authority as needed.

As a Security Concierge Officer, your day-to-day will include:
- Greeting clients and visitors warmly as they arrive, providing reassurance and clear directions
- Coordinating with reception and administration teams to manage appointments and daily site activity
- Monitoring and operating site security systems, including Forcefield / Truvision and the site security phone, while confidently using email, Microsoft Word, and Excel for communication, reporting, and documentation.
- Conducting regular internal patrols and responding swiftly and professionally to any duress alarms or emergency events
- Providing discreet support to reception staff, including escorting clients and staff throughout the building
- Maintaining detailed incident reports and security logs to support a proactive safety culture
- Assisting with monthly duress alarm testing and responding to any activations with calm authority
- Reporting maintenance issues or site hazards promptly via established communication channels
- Liaising with SA Police if required to address anti-social behaviour in and around the premises
- Ensuring the site is clear and secure at the end of each day, including shutting down systems and checking key areas
- Following AG Security Group's policies and procedures, work instructions, standard operating procedures and safety requirement
About you
To succeed in this role, we would expect you to have the following credentials, capabilities and qualities:
- Current South Australian Security Licence
- Current South Australian Driver's Licence
- Current First Aid Certificate HLTAID0003
- Current National Police Clearance
- Current Working with Children Check
- Unrestricted work rights in Australia
- Strong computer literacy, including email, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
- Well-presented, punctual, and reliable
- Able to work independently while following structured routines
- Maintains a high standard of professional conduct at all times
