About the role

Sydenham Dental Group, a respected dental practice located in Sydenham VIC 3037, is seeking a skilled dental assistant to join our team on a casual basis, Weds, Thurs, and Fridays. In this important role, you will provide essential support to our dentists, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of high-quality dental care to our patients.

What you'll be doing

Assisting dentists during various dental procedures by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing equipment, and handing instruments as needed

Maintaining a clean, organised, and compliant clinical space

Providing excellent customer service to patients, greeting them, and ensuring they are comfortable throughout their appointments

Keeping detailed records of patient information and treatment notes

Liaising with reception to ensure a seamless patient journey

What we're looking for

Relevant qualifications or experience as a dental assistant, with a strong understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and equipment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide a high level of customer service

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency in using Oasis dental software and other relevant technologies

Implant and orthodontic experience would be an advantage

High attention to detail and a passion for patient care

A team-oriented approach and the ability to work collaboratively with our dental professionals
