ABOUT THE COMPANY

My client is a nationally recognised construction company with over 20 years of experience delivering high-quality projects across Australia. Their portfolio spans commercial fit outs, base build construction, and complex refurbishments in the education, retail, healthcare, and commercial sectors. Known for their structured systems, strong client relationships, and commitment to quality, they have secured a robust pipeline of projects and are seeking a capable Estimator to help price and plan their upcoming work.

ABOUT THE POSITION

As an Estimator, you will report directly to the Pre-Construction Manager and work collaboratively with Project Managers and Directors. You will be responsible for preparing competitive tenders and accurate cost estimates across both fit out and new build construction projects ranging from $2M to $20M. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and commercially minded Estimator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking for long-term career development.

DUTIES

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and submit tenders in a timely manner
• Conduct quantity take-offs and analyse construction drawings and documentation
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
• Develop cost plans and budgets for both D&C and construct-only projects
• Assist in feasibility studies, value engineering, and project handovers

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 3–5 years of experience as an Estimator in the commercial construction industry
• Strong experience working on commercial fit out and new build projects
• Proficiency with estimating software such as Buildsoft, Cubit, or similar
• Excellent attention to detail and commercial acumen
• Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
