Phoenix Specialised Youth & Disability Services operates throughout Victoria 24 hours a day 7 days a week, providing skilled and qualified youth and disability support workers to various community service organisations.

About the role:
We are currently seeking fully qualified and experienced youth residential workers to support young people in residential care, across Melbourne and regional Victoria - locations include Eastern suburbs, North-Western suburbs, Moe, Morwell, Bendigo and Ballarat.
Phoenix emphasises the importance of working within a therapeutic model of care to form positive relationships with vulnerable young people, supporting and promoting their safety, physical and emotional wellbeing.
Working within these highly dynamic environments, you will be expected to support young people who have experienced high levels of trauma, and as a result may present with complex behaviours of concern or have significant risk factors.

About You:
- A deep understanding of therapeutic care and how trauma can impact the life of a young person.
- Familiarity and understanding of working within therapeutic and ethical frameworks.
- A commitment to creating/maintaining safe and nurturing environments for at-risk young people.
- Punctuality and reliability
- Awareness of the importance of documentation and communication within teams.
In addition to the above, all applicants must have the following qualifications/checks:
- Qualifications: Minimum Cert IV Child Youth and Family Intervention or a recognised relevant qualification with Mandatory Top Up Units
- Minimum 6 months paid field experience
- Employee WWCC
- Victorian Drivers Licence
- Cleared Police Check (no older than 6 months)
- Proof of Right to Work
- Updated First Aid and CPR Certificate
- 2 current Referees (must be supervisor or above)
