Qualifications & experience

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• 2+ years' experience in a high-end restaurant, catering business or 5-star hotel.
• Driver's license (preferred but not mandatory).
• Driven to perform at the highest level.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Time management, communication & planning skills.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Work closely with the Head Chef & Sous Chefs to deliver a consistently exceptional dining experience.
• Prepare menu items as per recipes, kitchen standards and food safety requirements.
• Work in the production kitchen as well as at offsite events, corporate client sites and venues.
• Complete allocated tasks in a timely & efficient manner.
• Effectively communicate with other team members.
• Prepare menu items for delivered catering, cocktail events, sit down functions and retail outlets.
• Review event orders and par levels to create prep lists and ensure items are produced as required.
