Healthy Cities Australia (formerly Healthy Cities Illawarra) is looking for a dynamic, passionate, and organised Program Coordinator to lead and deliver our popular Active In-Betweens (AIB) initiative — a trauma-informed, place-based, health promotion program designed for children aged 8–12.

About the Role:

Role Type: Part time, 30 hrs per week, 2-year contract

Hours: Mon–Thurs 10am-6pm (approx.)

Location: Various sites across the Illawarra

Award Level: Social & Community Services Award Level 4.1

What You’ll Do:

Coordinate, facilitate, and evaluate after-school health and wellbeing programs

Mentor and supervise a small, passionate team onsite

Build meaningful relationships with kids, families, schools, and community partners

Be a champion for child health & wellbeing, safety, creativity, and inclusion

What You’ll Need:

Relevant qualifications (e.g. Youth Work, Health Promotion, Education)

Hands-on experience working with children and diverse communities

A warm, energetic personality with a strong sense of initiative

Driver’s license + Working With Children Check + First Aid (or ability to obtain)
