About the Opportunity
Are you a strategic leader ready to lead with purpose and impact, do you have a passion for transforming primary health care systems? We’re looking for an innovative and forward-thinking Director – Capacity Building & Enablement to join the Executive team working to improve health outcomes.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of healthcare delivery across the southeast region of Melbourne, through leadership in provider capacity building, system redesign, and digital health integration.

This is a full time hybrid role with the expectation you will be on site 3 days per week.

Your Key responsibilities as the Director – Capacity Building & Enablement:

  • Strategic Leadership: Drive the development and implementation of system-wide strategies to strengthen provider capacity and deliver impactful primary health reform.
  • Digital Health Transformation: Lead the adoption and embedding of digital health initiatives that improve care access, patient experience and provider collaboration.
  • System Redesign & Innovation: Champion value-based, patient-centric service models aligned with local community needs and national health priorities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strategic partnerships with healthcare providers, government, and key sector stakeholders to deliver integrated, efficient services.
  • Governance & Performance: Oversee operational plans, budgets, risk, clinical governance, and quality improvement activities across the Capacity Building and Digital Health portfolios.
  • Executive Collaboration: Actively contribute to executive planning, decision-making and reporting to support the achievement of strategic objectives.

About You:

You are a visionary health leader who:

  • Essential to have experience in Primary or Community Health
  • Is a strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to develop and implement a strategic primary health plan to drive innovation in primary health.
  • Has a strong grasp of digital health trends and understands its value to organisational success
  • Can design, implement and evaluate complex health system improvement plans
  • Ability to analyse complex data and transform insights into actionable strategies will be crucial in driving our client’s mission forward.
  • Brings change leadership and a collaborative mindset to guide cross-functional teams through transformation
  • Thrives on stakeholder engagement, influencing and building trusted relationships
  • Has experience leading multi-disciplinary teams with accountability for budgets, governance, and outcomes
  • Must have degree in a relevant field such as public health, healthcare management, or business administration.
