Be the Voice of a Community-Focused Organisation

We’re working with a purpose-led philanthropic foundation based in Geelong that’s ready to bring their communications in-house — and they’re looking for a creative and strategic professional to take the reins. This is a newly created role designed for someone who’s passionate about community impact, confident in stakeholder engagement, and experienced in crafting compelling content across digital, print, and media channels.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Develop and deliver an annual communications and engagement plan
• Align messaging with the organisation’s broader goals and initiatives
• Create and manage content across Meta (Facebook, Instagram) and LinkedIn
• Maintain the website and produce engaging newsletters and EDMs
• Support paid social campaigns in collaboration with digital partners
• Write media releases and feature stories that celebrate donors and impact
• Pitch stories to local media and maintain relationships with journalists
• Track coverage and maintain a media contact database
• Event management

What You’ll Bring

✔ Proven experience managing social media and digital content
✔ Strong copywriting, editing and storytelling skills
✔ Experience producing communications collateral and managing events
✔ Ability to juggle independent work with cross-functional collaboration
✔ Familiarity with tools such as Mailchimp, Canva, WordPress, Meta Business Suite
✔ Understanding of community organisations or philanthropic work (desirable)
✔ Knowledge of the Geelong region and media landscape (a bonus!)
