About the role

Focused on Care is seeking an experienced female In-Home Team Leader to join our team in Inala, Queensland. This is a full-time hybrid role supporting our client with their support needs as well as office based admin duties.

What you'll be doing

Working directly with our client in her home in Inala providing direct supports to her with another team member

Supervising and coordinating a team of support workers to deliver high-quality care to our client

Developing and implementing care plans to meet the individual needs of the client

Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in the delivery of disability support services

Providing coaching, mentoring and training to support workers to continually develop their skills

Collaborating with clients, their families and broader care team to provide holistic care

Monitoring and evaluating the quality of care provided and making improvements as needed

Participating in the on-call roster to provide emergency support to clients and care workers

Weekly travel to the Brisbane office to meet with other leaders in the organisation

What we're looking for

Experience in a similar in-home care team leader or supervisor role

Experience with challenging behaviours and implementing PBSP plans

Strong knowledge of disability support regulations and best practices

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, families and care workers

Proven leadership and people management capabilities to effectively coordinate a team

Highly organised with the ability to multitask and prioritise competing demands

A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting vulnerable clients

Relevant tertiary qualifications in aged care, disability support or a related field
