SDS is seeking expressions of interest from qualified and motivated personnel to join our Critical Risk and Industrial Services division in the position of Site Access Controller.

The Position

An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably experienced Site Access Controller. Reporting direct to our Critical Risk Manager – Western Operations, the role will be a Casual position based in Henderson, WA.

About Applying

We are looking for candidates to manage site access to construction areas. General responsibilities are checking contractor access cards to make sure inductions are up to date, also to ensure the contractor signs in and out of our online platform prior to entering site. General other relevant site access duties may be required.

Role requirements include, but are not limited to:

Man the main gate at all times.

Be punctual for all shifts

Ensure the “if gate unattended” sign is clearly visible on the gate at all times

Ensure the Occurrence Log Book is completed as required and entries are correct and legible

Check Induction pass of all personnel entering the compound (personnel without a valid Pass may not enter the compound).

Report to the client HSE Advisor any instances of personnel attempting to access the compound without a valid Pass and record it in the occurrence log.

Passes are checked for all personnel entering the compound

Instances of personnel attempting to enter the compound without a valid pass and unauthorised entry to the compound are recorded in the Occurrence Log Book. All entries are correct and legible.

Essential Criteria

· Hold a current Statement of Attainment for HLTAID011 Provide First Aid and a Construction Induction Card

· Industry experience and High work ethic

· Eligible to obtain National Police Clearance and Defence Clearance

· Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

· Exceptional organisational and problem-solving abilities.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

· National Police Clearance.

Desirable

· Advanced First Aid

· Certificate IV in Health Care

· Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role – Fire & Rescue Service, Mines Rescue, Medical Services.

· Strong ethic toward maintaining positive team dynamic

· High personal standard of dress and bearing
