About the opportunity

The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) team is looking for a highly motivated and self-driven Senior Workday Specialist to join their high performing team. In your new role, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the Workday application configuration and business process enhancements. You will also provide support for other HR System functions and business processes as required.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • support and troubleshoot Workday applications and modules
  • provide high-level support and guidance to various HR Systems functions and processes
  • provide subject matter expertise and guidance to business process owners
  • manage user acceptance testing with end users effected by changes and releases
  • ensure awareness and application of data security measures and compliance with policies and procedures
  • identify areas for process improvement, develop solutions, and drive improvement activities
  • ensure effective handling of incident management activities
  • assist in documenting functional report requirements from specific Workday applications
  • assist with testing integration/security cases related to configuration changes or releases
  • develop and provide subject matter expertise on application functionality, latest releases and training
  • perform by using metrics, benchmarks and SLAs and strong advocate of ServiceNow and associated performance dashboards
  • perform work activities relevant to the role's key accountabilities as approved by the Manager and commensurate to the role's classification level.

About you

  • strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement, along with the ability to prioritise workload during busy periods
  • excellent communication and interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills, including effective management of stakeholder relationships, commitment to ensure service excellence
  • demonstrated experience in prioritising your own and your team workload to meet competing and ad hoc demands.
