About the role

We are seeking a talented and passionate Dental Hygienist/Oral Health Therapist to join our thriving practice in Essendon, VIC. As a part-time member of our dedicated team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality oral care and education to our valued patients.

What you'll be doing

Conducting comprehensive oral health assessments and developing personalised treatment plans

Performing a range of preventive and therapeutic dental hygiene treatments, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride applications

Educating patients on effective oral hygiene practices and promoting good dental health

Collaborating with the dentists to ensure seamless, comprehensive patient care

Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records

Adhering to strict infection control protocols and ensuring a safe, clean clinical environment

What we're looking for

Registered Dental Hygienist or Oral Health Therapist qualification

Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a private dental practice

Strong clinical skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care

Adult scope, experience in periodonal disease management, restorative dentistry and aligner therapy

Confidence and experience with Airflow, digital scanners, rubber dam and ability to work solo for hygiene appointments

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to educate and motivate patients

Proficiency in using dental software and computer systems

A positive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to contribute to the practice's success
