About the Role:
Our client, a Federal Government agency, is at the forefront of supporting and promoting Australian narrative (drama) and documentary screen content. The agency invests in Australian film, television, online titles, and games while administering the Producer Offset tax incentive to bolster screen projects nationwide.
They are on the lookout for a skilled Media Research Analyst to join the Strategic Insights & Research team. This role is a fantastic chance to influence the industry landscape through high-impact research and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Insights and Research Manager to deliver actionable, data-driven insights to industry and government stakeholders.
• Conduct in-depth industry research, utilising desktop methods, literature reviews, data analysis, and both quantitative and qualitative research.
• Collaborate with the Research team to analyse existing and new datasets, identifying trends in audience behaviour and content consumption.
• Contribute to strategic decision-making, supporting sector policies, programmes, and incentives.
• Work with the Strategic Policy and Insights Unit to maintain and assess relevant datasets.
• Present complex research findings in a clear, accessible manner to varied audiences.

Key Skills and Experience:

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in consumer and media research, ideally in a policy or strategic setting.
• Proven ability to present complex research insights through well-structured reports and impactful presentations.
• Experience using media and cross-platform research tools such as Ipsos IRIS and Ampere Analytics.
• Strong organisational skills, with the capacity to handle multiple projects and work autonomously.
• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
