Broome Urgent Care Clinic (UCC) is a Medicare Urgent Care Clinic is looking for full time, suitably qualified and experienced vocationally registered Lead General Practitioner with an interest in Urgent Care.

About Us

The Broome Urgent Care Clinic offers acute, episodic care and treatment for conditions that need urgent, but not life-threatening care. It is a walk-in, bulk billing clinic. We are open 7 days per week, 8am to 4pm.

The position requires the following:

Vocational Registration with FRACGP, ACCRM or equivalent.

Previous experience in Emergency Care, Urgent Care Clinic or Rural General Practice.

Current ALS and APLS

Provide clinical management of a broad case mix of Urgent Care patients.

Non-clinical portfolio catering to staff management and education.

Promote quality and safe patient care and provide leadership, supervision, mentorship and education to doctors in training, qualified General Practitioners and other health workers.

Awareness of First Nations people culture and community expectations in considering how best to care for First Nations patients.

Supervise medical staff, including assessment of clinical performance and behaviour, documentation, discharge summaries, communication with patients and families, cultural awareness in regard to First Nations patients and communities.

Participate as a valued team member promoting and contributing to a supportive team environment.

Maintain ethical and respectful behaviour to all staff and patients.

Demonstrate the ability to build a collaborative team in the delivery of high-quality medical care, including driving clinical quality initiatives.
