We are currently working with a large health centre owned and operated by the University of Melbourne that is presently looking for a new GP to join the team.

The health clinic is located in Shepparton, Victoria.

With urgent care and general practice both on offer, this is a great opportunity if you are looking for a hybrid role with a country lifestyle.

Remuneration:

• $250 per hour - Monday to Friday
• $300 per hour - Saturday and Sunday

Dates available:

• Ongoing permanent role
• Monday to Sunday, open 7 days a week
• Flexible with Part-time or Full-time hours

About the role:

Urgent Care-

• You will be providing short term, episodic care for urgent conditions that are not immediately life-threatening. (Cat 4 & 5) These include:
• Minor illnesses (including respiratory illness, gastrointestinal illness, UTIs and STIs
• Minor injuries including closed fractures, simple lacerations, and minor burns
• Highly skilled nurse to triage patients and assist the GP with procedures/plastering/treatment etc where required.
• Reception staff to manage patient check ins

General Practice-

• Conducting examinations and questioning patients to understand their health issues.
• Providing confidential consultations and initial medical care
• Monitoring patient progress and response to treatment.
• Discussing treatment options with patients
• Diagnosing and treating a range of illnesses and injuries.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (e.g., lab tests, X-rays).
• Anything else required with the role / responsibilities

Requirements:

• Limited registration with AHPRA (Level 3)
• Currently on GP training program
• Specialist Registration (preferred but not required)
• Fellowship with RACGP / ACRRM (preferred but not required)
