Join one of Brisbane’s most iconic seafood retailers! Samies Seafoods is seeking a hands-on, experienced Retail & Hospitality Manager to oversee our seafood retail shop, takeaway fish & chippery, and weekly market stall. If you’re passionate about great food, customer service, and leading from the front, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities

• Work hands-on in the business delivering excellent customer service across retail, takeaway, and market environments.

• Lead, train, and support a team of staff, creating a positive and efficient workplace.

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the retail shop, fish & chippery, and weekly market stall.

• Manage stock ordering, inventory, and supplier relationships to ensure freshness and minimal waste.

• Coordinate and execute local marketing initiatives and maintain an active social media presence.

• Ensure compliance with all food safety and WHS standards.

• Maintain records and provide regular operational insights to the business owner.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in retail, hospitality, or food service management.

• A hands-on leadership style with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

• Strong skills in stock control, rostering, and operations.

• Experience with seafood handling (preferred- training will be provided).

Experience preparing and cooking food (preferred- training will be provided).

• Food Safety Supervisor certification (or willingness to obtain).

• Manual driver’s licence preferred (for market stall logistics).
