The Supporting Children after Separation Program (SCASP) aims to support the wellbeing of children under the age of 18 years experiencing separated or separating families, and difficult family relationships. The program helps children to address relationship issues arising from these circumstances and provides opportunities for the to participate in decisions that impact them.
Join our SCASP program in Joondalup where you will provide intake, assessment, feedback and a range of age-appropriate interventions including individual counselling and group work with children.
This is a part time (22.5 hours per week), permanent opportunity.
You will work 08.30am to 4.30pm two days a week and 10am to 6pm one day a week - either Tuesday or Wednesday.
About you
What you will bring
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Tertiary degree (4 years) in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science, Counselling or other related discipline
- Demonstrated knowledge of child counselling and group work models in their application
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of Family Systems theory
- Knowledge of the impact of parental separation on children including an understanding of how conflict affects children
- Experience in advocating and promoting for and behalf of children, young people and their family
The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a WA Working with Children Check and a WA Drivers Licence.

- Salary from $96,088 per annum pro rata + 11.5% superannuation
- Salary packaging of up to $15,900 (which equates to circa $4K after tax) plus additional salary packaging of up to $2,650 for meal and entertainment expenses
