About the role

We are seeking a Venue Operations Officer to help lead our team. The team are responsible for dealing with the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the venues, to ensure optimum utilisation and presentation in preparation for all sporting events. This position will be accountable for the scheduling of daily, weekly and periodical tasks across the venues. This position will provide administrative support to the Team Leader Venue Operations during periods of leave and develop a broad understanding of the business operations and maintenance requirements. This position is based predominately at Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre (Carrara) but the successful applicant will be required to work across all of the City's Major Sporting Venues.

You will be responsible for overseeing a diverse workforce with varying levels of experience and skill. Although your hours of duty will be worked predominately between Monday and Friday, you will be employed on an any 5 in 7 roster, which will mean you are required for occasional weekend work to assist with larger events and have the ability to work any hours of the day/night on occasions when operational needs arise.
