About the opportunity:

Position: Vascular and Endovascular Fellow

Vacancy: Fixed term temporary full-time, 02/02/2026 to 31/01/2027

Location: Townsville University Hospital

About the role:

The Fellowship in Vascular Surgery offers incumbents the opportunity of working within a skilled team of Vascular Surgeons to develop management, leadership, teaching and clinical skills.

Common procedures including lower limb revascularisation by endovascular, open and combined procedures; endovascular aneurysm repair including Branch devices, TEVAR; Carotid endarterectomy; open aortic surgery; AV fistula creation and maintenance; other vascular access procedures for oncology and renal purposes; venous surgery; and diabetic foot procedures.

  • Salary range: $4966.90 to $5758.70 p.f. (L4-L9)
  • Annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:

  • Accepted into recognised vocational college training program relevant to the speciality.
  • If appointee is not accepted into a recognized vocational college training program – employment will only be as a Principal House Officer and remuneration will be at PHO Level per fortnight (L4-L7).
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted including criminal history clearance.
