About the role
The Senior Educational Technology Officer will be a subject matter expert on new educational technologies in Australian and International Higher Education (HE) and TAFE sectors, advising stakeholders on emerging technology, advancements and trends.
You will:
- provide technical knowledge on emerging educational technologies within the Australian and International HE and TAFE sectors;
- review and provide recommendations of educational technologies across HE and TAFE;
- identify and eliminate duplication and inefficiencies in educational technologies; and
- enhance accessibility and inclusivity in digital content.
About you
Reporting to the Manager, Training and Content and working in a complex and dynamic environment, you will use your planning, organising and prioritising skills to ensure that all educational technology initiatives are implemented effectively and align with the University's goals.
You will possess:
- demonstrated experience in first and second tier customer support and ability to research, analyse data and provide recommendations;
- demonstrated communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, including the ability to translate complex and/or technical information into easily understandable terms for audiences;
- proven ability to conduct audits, analyse usage data, and identify duplication and inefficiencies in educational technologies; and
- extensive experience in managing and supporting diverse learning management systems, with specific experience in Moodle, Kaltura, Turnitin, Mahara, and Respondus being highly desirable.
