About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Speech Therapist to join our team at Ability to Achieve in Mortdale, NSW. In this contract role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality speech therapy services to our diverse client base, helping them to improve their communication abilities and enhance their quality of life.

What you'll be doing

Conducting comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify clients' needs and develop tailored treatment plans

Delivering individual and group speech therapy sessions to address a range of communication disorders, including articulation, language, fluency, and voice

Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as occupational therapists and physiotherapists, to provide holistic client-centred care

Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records in accordance with professional and organisational standards

Participating in team meetings to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of our speech therapy services

Providing education and support to clients, families, and caregivers to empower them in the therapy process

What we're looking for

Degree in Speech Pathology or Speech Therapy, with current registration as a Speech Therapist in Australia

Minimum 1 year of experience working as a Speech Therapist, preferably in a community or private practice setting

Strong clinical skills in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of communication disorders

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Proficient in maintaining accurate client records and adhering to professional and organisational standards

Adaptable and flexible, with a commitment to providing client-centred care
