Area Manager – Multi-Site Supermarkets
Western Australia (Country & Remote Locations)

Are you a proven leader in retail management, ready to oversee multiple supermarket sites and drive operational excellence across Western Australia? We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to join our team, with opportunities available in both metropolitan and remote locations.

Location: Western Australia (including remote areas)
Salary: $120,000 – $135,000 per year plus super
Benefits: Company car, fuel card, and reimbursement of all work-related out-of-pocket expenses

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the operations of multiple supermarket sites, ensuring each store achieves company standards for customer service, presentation, and profitability
- Lead, coach, and develop store managers and their teams to achieve sales, gross profit, and operational targets
- Monitor and manage store performance, including sales, wage control, inventory, and waste minimization across all sites
- Conduct regular site visits, audits, and performance reviews to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
- Implement and maintain merchandising and promotional standards to maximize sales and customer satisfaction
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance
- Support recruitment, training, and succession planning for store management teams
- Prepare and present regular reports on store performance to senior management
- Manage and approve budgets, including wage costs and operational expenses, for all sites within your area
- Travel between multiple locations as required, including remote communities

Requirements

- Minimum three years’ experience in multi-site retail or supermarket management, with a strong background in fresh food departments
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales, profit, and operational targets across multiple locations
- Experience in leading, mentoring, and developing store managers and large teams
- Strong financial acumen, including budget management, wage control, and performance analysis
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to implement and maintain high standards of merchandising, safety, and store presentation
- Willingness to travel regularly and work in remote areas as required
- Current driver’s license (essential)
