About the role

📍 Location: Central Brisbane

💰 Salary: Competitive market-leading rates with scope to grow

🕒 Hours: 38 hours minimum per week (8–12 hour shifts, typically Monday–Friday roster)

🛫 Travel: Interstate work required – all transfers paid + paid door-to-door travel + $80/day allowance

🗓️ Shift Flexibility: day and night shifts required – we’re open to creating flexible shift patterns as the teams build

This hands-on role involves

• Operating state-of-the-art volumetric mixers – mobile concrete batch plants
• Setting up and loading machinery, managing water/mixing, and driving to site for dispensing
• Washing out the truck, completing shutdown checklists, and maintaining the yard
• Performing frequent general maintenance, anything from changing lights, minor repairs, and cleaning as needed
• Supporting the team with ad hoc manual tasks (light to heavy) as needed
• Travelling to projects that can run for up to 3 months – flights home every 2 weeks for any lengthy jobs like this
• Adapting to shift start times as needed (e.g. arriving at 10 PM for a midnight shift)

Shift Details

📅 Day shift: 7 AM – 3 PM (with flexibility)

🌙 Night shift: Midnight starts (may require arriving earlier as needed)

What we’re looking for

We’re after adaptable, proactive team members who thrive in a dynamic work environment. Attitude is just as important as experience. You’ll need to be comfortable switching gears at short notice and tackling a wide variety of tasks.

What you’ll need

• HC drivers licence
• Concrete or construction experience
• Mechanical aptitude and confidence with physical tasks
• Physically fit – comfortable climbing up and down machinery
• Excavator or Forklift ticket
• Strong problem-solving mindset with leadership potential
