Lead Primary Health Care Nurse

About the Company
Our client is a respected leader in the healthcare sector, known for delivering excellence in aeromedical and primary health care across Western Australia. They are seeking a Primary Health Care Nurse to join a newly established Community Health Centre in Kalgoorlie and help drive their mission of improving access to preventative and comprehensive healthcare for rural and remote communities.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Primary Health Care Nurse (Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner) to step into a dynamic and rewarding role at a brand-new, community-focused clinic.
Key responsibilities include:
Collaborating with the Clinical Lead - GP and Practice Manager to establish clinical workflows and team roles
Delivering high-quality, holistic nursing care in partnership with a General Practitioner
Leading health promotion initiatives and implementing culturally sensitive Primary Health Care practices
Supporting team-based care through the development of general practice management plans and mentoring students
- Implementing a developed 12-month business plan targeting sustainability, expansion and grow
You'll work closely with a multidisciplinary clinical team and play a vital role in mentoring future healthcare professionals through collaboration with a university-based rural health program.
What We're Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
A minimum of five years' postgraduate nursing experience, preferably in General Practice
Full AHPRA Registration as a Nurse (essential)
Proficiency in practice management systems (Best Practice preferred)
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to care delivery
A commitment to student mentorship and ongoing professional development
Preceptorship certification (desirable; support provided to attain it)
