We are seeking a highly experienced Elevator Installation & Upgrade/Modernisation Technician to join our team in a senior or leading hand role. Based on the Sunshine Coast, this role offers the chance to live and work in one of Queensland’s most desirable regions, servicing a wide range of projects across coastal locations from Caloundra to Agnes Water.

About the Role:
This position involves leading and delivering elevator installation and upgrade works in accordance with AS1735, EN81, WHS legislation, and the QLD Electrical Safety Act. Responsibilities include running pre-start meetings, completing site inductions, preparing accurate dilapidation reports, detailed testing outcomes and ensuring all work is completed to a high standard with strict compliance to all safety and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform and supervise installation and modernisation of elevator systems

Ensure compliance with AS1735, EN81, and WHS requirements

Conduct daily pre-start meetings and manage site-specific inductions

Prepare and review dilapidation reports prior to commencing works

Complete SWMS, Take 5s, and maintain accurate safety records

Lead by example with high-quality workmanship and safety focus

Support apprentices and junior technicians on-site

Essential Requirements:

Current QLD Electrical Work Licence

Construction White Card

Demonstrated experience in elevator installations and upgrades

Strong understanding of WHS compliance and relevant standards

Ability to manage technical documentation and site coordination independently

Preferred Attributes:

Prior leading hand or supervisory experience

Additional certifications: EWP, Working at Heights, Confined Space

High-level troubleshooting and commissioning capability
