The Opportunity

St Joseph’s Parish School is seeking a Principal to guide the school, parish, and local regional community towards excellence. We are looking for a passionate individual with a strong faith background and leadership skills to foster growth and development in our students and staff. This opportunity has become available as a result of the existing long-standing Principal being appointed to another School within our system.

St Joseph's is a co-educational Catholic school located in Gladstone - a small rural town in the Mid North of South Australia on the approach to the lower Flinders Rangers just 200km north of Adelaide. The school currently enrols close to 60 students from Reception to Year 6, offering an enriching and personalised curriculum. The team works collaboratively with colleagues in neighbouring Catholic Josephite schools.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

Lead as a spiritual guide within the school, parish, and local community, nurturing a culture of inclusivity and faith-inspired values.

Drive continuous improvement in learning outcomes for all students through innovative strategies and effective leadership.

Facilitate the formation and professional growth of staff at all career stages, from early career to experienced professionals.

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with the parish, school stakeholders, and the broader regional community.

Collaborate with regional Principal colleagues to contribute to system-wide and diocesan priorities.

Ensure responsible stewardship of financial and capital resources, optimising their utilisation for the benefit of the school and community.
