About the opportunity
The Mulesoft API Developer is a subject matter expert in the university, who works with the Integration Development Practice Manager, Integration Team members, architects, and various business stakeholders to develop and implement integration solutions that support the University's mission and vision.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- utilise your strong knowledge and experience with the MuleSoft product suite as well as experience in detailed requirements analysis, software design, development, testing, and deployment to support the University's digital transformation journey by implementing MuleSoft technology for Enterprise Integration and API Management needs
- identify, analyse, and develop interface and integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint platform including Mule Runtime, Connectors, Design Center and API Manager
- develop, enhance, debug, maintain, and test integrations that support business units or supporting functions
- provide enterprise integration services to project teams through agreed-upon iterations and phases
- collaborate with external developers to coordinate and work in parallel in the delivery of integration solutions
- stay current in new IT technologies to maintain a high level of subject matter expertise.
About you
- MuleSoft Certified desirable
- solid experience with MuleSoft 4.X and with MuleSoft's Anypoint platform - Anypoint Studio, Cloudhub, API Manager, Runtime Manager, Design Centre, etc
- substantial software development experience, with software integration and /or other ESB experience being a must
- experience leveraging continuous integration and continuous deployment as part of the development lifecycle including tools such as mUnit, GIT, Jenkins, Maven
- experience with REST and SOAP APIs, RAML, and use of connectors for integration, API led connectivity as well as file-based interfaces (SFTP & FTP)
- working knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, etc
- solid understanding of SOA and API design principles, integration patterns, and best practices including messaging systems
- effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of stakeholders and clients.
