About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Compliance Officer to join our close-knit and dynamic Secure Monitoring Unit (SMU) team at OILECC, within the Corporate Services group. In this pivotal role, you'll work under the delegation of the Inspector to inspect records from eligible authorities and law enforcement agencies across NSW. You'll play a critical part in ensuring compliance with complex legislation governing telecommunications interceptions, surveillance devices, controlled operations, covert search warrants, and criminal organisation search warrants. Working closely with the Compliance Officer, you'll help deliver a robust inspection and reporting program that upholds accountability and integrity across law enforcement agencies.

We're Looking For
- Qualifications: You hold a relevant tertiary qualification in law or equivalent professional experience in compliance and/or auditing
- Compliance Expertise: You have a solid background in compliance and a strong understanding of the relevant NSW and Commonwealth legislation
- Communication: You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear and concise reports and correspondence
- Stakeholder Engagement: You're skilled in building and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships, even in sensitive or high-pressure environments
- Leadership: You provide guidance and support to junior team members, helping foster a high-performing compliance team
Essential Requirements
- You hold a current Driver's License and are willing to travel around NSW as required
- You are required to obtain and maintain a Commonwealth security clearance at a Baseline classification and undergo a police check
- Serving or former sworn officers of the NSW Police Force are ineligible to apply for this role
