About the role
The Aqua Jetty in Warnbro is one of the City’s and WA’s premier aquatic and health facilities and we are committed to providing excellent customer service to all patrons during every visit. The centre offers a range of programs and facilities for the whole community and is open 7 days a week.
As a Gym Instructor, you will provide supervision of gym users and uphold the safety of the centre at all times by providing technical advice and support. You will also design and deliver safe and effective fitness programs suitable to the patrons’ health requirements. Promotion of the personal training opportunities, daily opening and closing of the club and maintaining a clean and safe environment are pivotal to the role.
You are a customer focussed team player with excellent communication skills, well developed time management skills and a good understanding of health club operations. You must possess a Certificate IV in Fitness (Personal Training), be Fitness Australia Certified, hold a current Provide First Aid and CPR certificate and have previous experience in a similar position.
To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria as part of your online application:
- Previous experience in a similar position
- Advanced knowledge of exercise testing, prescription and rehabilitation
- Very good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong experience in a customer service environment
Applicants must be flexible and available to work in line with the facilities opening hours. Positions are offered with a guaranteed minimum 10 hours per week.
Aqua Jetty operates seven days per week, from 5.00am to 9.00pm Monday to Friday and 6.30am to 7.00pm Saturday and Sunday. All shifts will fall within these hours of operation.
What we offer
The hourly rate for this position is as follows:
$33.61, plus superannuation
