Our Atherton-based team is looking for an experienced & knowledgeable individual to join our System & Information department team as a full-time GIS Technician on a permanent basis.

The GIS Technician is responsible for the planning, implementation and continuous improvement of council’s Geographical Information at TRC, consistent with relevant legislation and best practice standards. This role will lead the organisation on a geographical journey through collaboration, review and adoption of modern GIS practices supporting efficient and effective decision making via geographical representation of council information.

  • Base salary package from $81,239.85 per annum ($3,124.61 per fortnight)
  • Locality allowances (if eligible)
  • Attractive work/life balance - 72.5 hours per fortnight
  • Flexible working arrangements with RDO incentive
  • 5 weeks annual leave with 17.5% leave loading
  • Attractive superannuation - up to 12% employer contribution
