About the Role

Aptella’s PaveSmart team delivers expert Surveying and Paving services across high-precision infrastructure projects, including airports, highways, motorways, and other complex pavement works throughout Australasia and the USA.

Our experienced consultancy teams provide end-to-end control of asphalt surfacing projects—minimising risk and ensuring project success. In this role, you’ll use proprietary PaveSmart Technology and other advanced level control systems alongside survey data to support the asphalt laying process. Your contribution will help our clients meet critical specifications in depth, level tolerance, and surface smoothness.

This is a casual position with the potential to transition into a permanent role.

What You’ll Be Doing

Collaborating daily with site supervisors and engineering teams.

Communicating with plant operators and on-site teams to maintain accurate level controls.

Operating asphalt paving machines using PaveSmart control systems.

Setting up and installing control networks.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds who meet the following criteria:

Experience as an Asphalt Level Hand desirable but not essential

Asphalt labouring or machine operation experience desirable but not essential

A valid driver’s licence

A valid Construction Induction Card (White Card)

A proactive attitude and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork

Reliability and punctuality

Flexibility to work day, night, weekend, and remote shifts as required

Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and police check
