As a key member of the academic team, the Lecturer/Senior Lecturer contributes through teaching, learning and research to the Northern Territory, national and international educational contexts.

About the Position
As the Lecturer/Senior Lecturer Education Early Childhood, you will be responsible for building the teaching profile, research capability and ordination, development and delivery of teaching and learning units utilising both on-campus and flexible-delivery methods and engaging in scholarly work that informs teaching and learning in diverse educational contexts.

About You
To be successful, you will require:
• A PhD and/or substantial progress towards a PhD in a relevant field and/or equivalent professional experience.
• Current registration with the Northern Territory’s Teacher Registration Board, or be eligible for registration
• Proven ability to teach specialisms in Early Childhood education.
• Demonstrated ability to manage unit (subject) teaching in internal and distance education modes, including through online platforms.
• An emerging research profile of publications/research projects or a progress towards a research plan.
• Demonstrated understanding of a university learning environment and equity programs and providing supportive education to people from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds and varying age groups.
• Ability to contribute to the development of units/courses and student resources in response to reflective practice and application of scholarship (including for online and face to face teaching) and within the context and requirements of a quality education provider.
• Excellent professional teamwork and communication skills, including oral, written, information communication technology (ICT) and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to represent the university at a range of forums, and to liaise, communicate, negotiate and collaborate with clients, stakeholders and partners, to deliver a valued service and achieve agreed outcomes.
Additional Selection Criteria for Appointment at Level C
• A PhD in a relevant field.
• A Graduate Certificate in University Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
• A national research profile in Education.
• Demonstrated evidence of supervising HDR students to completion
• Evidence of supporting others’ development, including peer review of teaching, mentoring, and fostering academic culture.
• Demonstrated evidence of leadership in course and unit development.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at HE Academic Level B/C. The base salary will be in the range $112,710 to $156,967 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $131,870 to $183,651 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
