About the role

We are seeking a capable Sheetmetal Trades Assistant to join our team at MSP Electrical in Malaga, Western Australia. This is a full-time position that will involve providing support to our skilled tradespeople in the fabrication of Electrical Switchboards.

What you'll be doing

Assist qualified tradespeople in the fabrication and assembly of Electrical Switchboards

Undertake basic sheet metal cutting, bending & punching under supervision

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored

Follow all health and safety procedures to minimize risk and ensure compliance

Provide general labor support to the team as required

What we're looking for

Some prior experience in a trade's assistant or laboring role, preferably in a sheet metal or fabrication environment

Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and an interest in developing sheet metal skills

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work

Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions effectively

A keen interest in learning and progressing your career in the trades

A current driver's license and reliable transportation
