Northern Territory PHN leads the development and coordination of an equitable, comprehensive primary health care system and an engaged health workforce driven by community needs.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Team Lead, the Health Workforce Support Officer is responsible for providing administrative support to the workforce team and associated workforce programs. The mix of activities in the role may change from time to time in response to workforce program needs and branch support requirements, making for a diverse and dynamic environment.
The position is to cover a parental leave period and is required for commencement in June 2025 until March 2026.
THE ROLE
The opportunity is diverse and will include, but not limited to;
Working collaboratively and effectively as a member of a high-performing team, engaging positively with management and all internal staff
Providing administrative and coordination support to workforce programs, including travel bookings, contract administration, invoice processing and high-level administration support for recruitment services to health services and professionals
Positively engaging with internal and external stakeholders, while maintaining relationships and ensuring cultural sensitivity
Managing designated team email accounts, ensuring timely response to enquiries and a high level of stakeholder service, referring complex issues to appropriate team members
Maintaining accurate records in internal electronic filing systems, databases and client record management systems.
Contributing to the development, implementation and continuous improvement of best practice processes, procedures and systems relating to workforce programs.
ABOUT YOU
If you have the following experience and qualifications, we would love to hear from you!
Knowledge or training equivalent to a Certificate III/IV in Administration or Business or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training (with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administrative role)
Excellent computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and Outlook
Strong organisational and time-management skills with proven ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently and apply a solutions-based approach while managing changing organisational priorities
Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to provide high level customer service in a multicultural environment.
Demonstrated stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to build rapport, develop professional relationships and contribute effectively to a team using initiative
Ability to prioritise, problem solve and meet deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
