A vacancy exists for a reliable, energetic, and enthusiastic person to be part of our team delivering bulk freight from our East Devonport depot located. This position involves delivering cartons and pallets, to both business & residential addresses. To be considered for this position, it is essential to hold a valid HEAVY RIGID manual licence with a good driving record, especially as this is a brand new truck. Note this role may roll back to a slightly smaller truck requiring an MR licence, however for now the need is to hold a HR licence, which also allows you to drive an MR rated truck.

You must also have a solid geographical knowledge of Devonport and surrounding suburbs and be able to provide a National Police check. Holding a current forklift licence would be an advantage as would previous delivery driver experience along with hands on experience operating barcode scanners, but not essential.

An immediate start for the right person is on offer. Starting as casual, Mon to Fri, with a view to moving to full time permanent.

This position reports to the Devonport Depot Supervisor and Manager. You need to be fit and healthy and will be required to pass a pre-employment medical. As a delivery driver, you are the front line of our business, so being an effective communicator, being courteous and polite with customers as well as providing prompt service is vital to the success of this role.
