About the role

Bojak Brewing is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate and experienced Bar Manager to join our small family run brewbar in Dandenong VIC. As a hands on Bar Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of our bar/restaurant and ensuring an exceptional customer experience for all our customers. This is a full-time position based at our brewery in Dandenong.

What you'll be doing

Manage all aspects of bar operations, including rostering, inventory management, and lead by example

Reporting directly to the owners of the business you will help drive growth by creating and implementing bar events & promotions

Ensure excellent customer service and maintain a welcoming and engaging atmosphere in the bar

Train and mentor a very small team, fostering a positive and productive work environment

Monitor and improve bar performance metrics, such as revenue, costs, and customer satisfaction

Organise and create all social media posts/maintain website & bar pos system along with other admin duties as required.

Ability to problem solve on the spot and maintain composure in busy periods.

Ensure full compliance with all relevant licensing and safety regulations

Oversee and organise any festival and events/functions internal and external to Bojak Brewing.

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience in a Bar Manager or Assistant Bar Manager role in the hospitality or craft beer industry

Craft beer passion & knowledge preferred but not essential for the right applicant.

Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to lead and motivate the small team

Strong knowledge of bar operations, including inventory management, cost control, and staff scheduling

Shows initiative & displays a common sense approach to all this hospitality

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Sound understanding of liquor licensing regulations and safety protocols

Enthusiasm for the Bojak Brewing brand and a desire to contribute to the growth of our brewbar

Bojak Brewing opened its brewing doors in 2018 and we have quickly established ourselves as not only a great place to dine with fresh dough pizzas and 14 taps with our own beers brewed on site but also in local craft bottle shops and bars. After 6 short years our flagship beer 'Calypso' Hazy IPA hit the GABS hottest 100 Beer list which was great recognition by the public we were doing things right!
