Summary

Reporting to the Technical Manager, as a full-time QC Chemist in our Sydney operations, you will be responsible for performing QC testing to support the manufacturing operations, including providing batch adjustment recommendations and maintaining/calibrating laboratory instruments.

Support polymers, fluids, and surfactant technologies, by preparing lab samples for raw material and reformulation trials, as well as providing technical support to internal/external customers.

What You Will Do

Pass/Fail QC release, including batch adjustment recommendations, for manufacturing operations at our Sydney Wetherill Park facility.

General laboratory tasks: calibration, maintenance, documentation, and housekeeping.

Review manufacturing batch adjustment and QC trend data and implement improvements.

Work with the Operations team to support the right-first-time performance.

Prepare lab R&D samples as requested, as part of the new product development process.

Perform any other duties or serve in such other capacity as may be determined by the Company management.

What We Are Looking For

Tertiary qualifications in Chemistry or Chemistry related field (e.g. Engineering/Material Science)

Working effectively with teams in multiple locations, with strong credibility and influencing skills and trusted relationships

Strong sense of initiative, with the ability to prioritise workflows with the ability to be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment

Strong consultative, collaborative approach and manner

Ability to build strong relationships, at various levels, both internally and externally

This is a full-time position and the salary on offer is $80,000 to $84,000
