Senior Town Planner

Chapman Planning is a town planning consultancy firm located in Sydney - Ultimo. We are seeking a town planner for a full time position with flexible working options are available.

The Senior Town Planner position requires previous Local Government and/or private practise experience in the management and assessment of development applications and/or planning proposals.

The Senior Town Planner position will include:

Manage Development Applications including meets at design stage, meets with the architect and other consultants during preparation of the application and following lodgement.

Management of planning proposals.

Preparation of Statement of Environmental Effects.

Preparation of Clause 4.6 Variations to development standards.

Planning expert at the Land and Environment Court of NSW.

Preparation of planning advice/development feasibility.

Preparation of fee proposals.

Preparation of Social Impact Assessments.

Preparation of submissions/objections to Development Applications.

General administration duties including answering telephone/messages, copying, preparing DA documents.

To be successful:

Minimum 2 years experience in the management and assessment of development applications, planning proposals.

Possession of a relevant tertiary qualification suitable for membership of the Planning Institute of Australia

Sound knowledge of the Environmental Planning Assessment Act 1979 and associated legislation.

High attention to detail (written and verbal).

Work individually/self motivated on task/project management

Excellent personal skills with clients and team members.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
