IDAM – ForgeRock Software Engineer

We’re seeking a skilled ForgeRock Software Engineer to support Austrac's needs.

Location: Canberra or Sydney (Hybrid Work Model)

Contract: 6-month initial term | Full-time (40 hrs/week)

Rate: Up To $1200 Per Day

Security Clearance: Must hold or be eligible for NV1

Department: Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC)

The Role As a senior IDAM (ForgeRock) Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

• Delivering and supporting a new user registration process within a secure identity framework
• Leading ForgeRock component configuration, testing, and stability checks
• Designing and implementing identity frameworks, access protocols, and IAM patterns
• Managing SSO, authentication, and secure access control systems
• Ensuring IAM platforms meet best practices in security, availability, and scalability

What We’re Looking ForMandatory:

• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on ForgeRock platform experience (Access & Identity Modules)
• Experience working within secure government environments
• Strong understanding of IAM architecture, open standards, and deployment protocols
• ForgeRock design, implementation, and troubleshooting expertise
• Experience working in secure, highly available infrastructure environments

Desirable:

• Experience in DevOps automation and continuous improvement for IAM platforms
• Collaborative mindset to work across technical and business teams
• A proactive approach to evolving threats and security challenges

Work Location

• Hybrid model (2+ days onsite in Canberra or Sydney as directed by AUSTRAC)
• Flexibility for remote work up to 3 days per week, with occasional full attendance based on operational needs

Security Clearance

• NV1 Clearance is mandatory (or eligibility to obtain)
