Ultimate Security Australia is searching for a dynamic, energetic, agile and experienced Human Resource Manager to join our team and drive our HR initiatives.
As the head of our HR Department, you will develop and drive the company's HR Strategy ensuring we recruit and retain great people at all levels and in all company departments, including but not limited to:
Ø Head Office Teams
Ø Security Guards
Ø Electronic Technicians
Key Responsibilities:
Ø HR Strategy Development: Lead the creation and execution of the company’s HR strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and fostering a positive, high-performance culture.
Ø Talent Acquisition & Recruitment: Oversee recruitment for all company departments (head office teams, security guards, and electronic technicians), ensuring we attract and retain top talent.
Ø Employee Development: Champion staff development and career progression, offering ongoing training and development opportunities to help employees grow within the company.
Ø Retention & Engagement: Drive employee retention programs, including wellness initiatives, career pathing, and engagement strategies that enhance employee satisfaction and reduce turnover.
Ø Team Collaboration: Partner with departmental leaders to establish an inclusive, team-oriented work culture that promotes work/life balance and enhances our reputation as an employer of choice.
Ø Industrial/Employee Relations: Manage complex employment relations, industrial disputes, and return-to-work cases with a focus on compliance, fairness, and positive resolution.
Ø HR Team Leadership: Lead and support a small team of HR Coordinators and Admins, providing direction, mentorship, and leadership to meet company business objectives.
Ø HR Systems Management: Oversee and manage the company’s national Human Resource System (HRS), ensuring data accuracy and effective system utilization.
Ø Reporting & Compliance: Ensure HR policies, practices, and programs are in compliance with legal requirements and company standards.
Essential Criteria:
Ø A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior HR role in a blue-collar industry.
Ø Experience in developing and implementing HR Strategies aligned with business objectives.
Ø Experience managing a National Human Resource System (HRS) and ensuring seamless operation across multiple locations.
Ø Experience in managing complex Industrial/Employment Relations and Return to Work cases.
Ø Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to motivate, collaborate, and drive a positive team culture.
Ø Experience in managing HR for a large and diverse workforce, including frontline workers and corporate teams.
Ø Flexibility to attend occasional out of hours networking events, and some occasional domestic travel as required.
Ø Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage employees at all levels.
Ø Current and valid driver licence.
Ø Proficiency in MS Office suite.
Ø Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ø A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
Ø Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with integrity.
