We are looking for a Rural Merchandise Salesperson to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The role:

The position reports directly to the Store Manager.
The successful applicant will be expected to take an active part in all areas of the store including but not limited to customer sales, ordering, preparing delivery orders, stock replenishment, general administration, merchandising, stocktaking, and store presentation.
The normal working week is 38 hours with participation in a rotating Saturday morning roster. On-the-job training is provided together with a competitive wage and bonus earning potential.

Skills and experience required to be successful in this role:

You are enthusiastic and self-motivated.

You are passionate about providing great customer service.

You must be physically fit to handle 20kg bags.

Ideally you have experience in a retail sales or customer service role.

You have an interest in the agriculture and/or pet industry.

Computer literacy skills including Microsoft office, POS and administration skills.

You have a current driver’s license and ideally have a forklift licence. A forklift licence is preferred however we can assist you to obtain one.

Experience in rural merchandising or product knowledge in any of the following key sales areas of rural fencing, animal health products, pet supplies, chemicals and pasture seeds, will be an advantage but is not essential. If you hold a current Heavy Ridged Truck licence this will also be an advantage.
