As the Manager (Project & Stakeholder Engagement) for North Queensland Region, you'll lead a team of communications professionals, driving the success of the Queensland Transport and Roads Infrastructure Program (QTRIP). You will provide high-level strategic advice to the Regional Director, leadership teams, and project teams on complex communication and engagement initiatives. You'll take a handson approach to fostering collaboration across internal stakeholders, external service providers, community members, and different levels of government to deliver exceptional project outcomes.
This role requires exceptional leadership skills to manage teams in dynamic regional environments. You will develop and implement communication and engagement strategies, monitor and report program results, and ensure delivery within agreed timeframes. Using your expertise, you'll identify opportunities for improvement, anticipate long-term risks, and implement innovative ways to manage stakeholder relationships.
In addition to your leadership responsibilities, you'll manage reputational and communication challenges, provide expert guidance on community engagement strategies, and act as a stabilising influence during challenging situations. Mandatory Requirements
• A current Class C driver's licence is essential.
• Due to the nature of the role and its access to sensitive information, a criminal history check will be conducted before appointment.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
• A degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related discipline is highly desirable.
• Experience in major project environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in community and stakeholder engagement on complex issues.
