About the role

All 4 Hearts Cardiology is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Tugun, South East QLD commencing June 2025 (commencement date flexible). As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality cardiac ultrasound services to our patients. Remuneration negotiable based on experience.

What you'll be doing

Attending clinics at John Flynn Hospital Tugun (additional opportunity for clinic cover in Ballina, northern NSW)

Perform comprehensive cardiac ultrasound examinations, including resting transthoracic, and stress echocardiograms

Deliver high level echocardiography and high level clinical reporting within All 4 Hearts Cardiology in accordance with industry guidelines.

Fit and remove ambulatory Holter and BP monitors. While not mandatory there is opportunity for Holter analysis and reporting if sort by the applicant

Perform 12 lead electrocardiograms as needed

Collaborate with the wider clinical team to provide integrated, patient-centred care

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with policies and procedures

Perform various administrative tasks as required

Maintain and clean equipment as required

What we're looking for

Postgraduate degree, Graduate Diploma or equivalent in Cardiac Ultrasound.

Hold status as an Accredited Medical Sonographer (Cardiac) with the Australian Sonographers Accreditation Registry (ASAR) and comply with an ASAR-recognised Continuing Professional Development program to remain on the ASAR Register.

Previous experience as a cardiac scientist (cardiac physiologist) will be highly regarded

Excellent clinical and diagnostic skills, with the ability to independently interpret complex echocardiographic data

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with patients, cardiologists, and the wider healthcare team

Commitment to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in cardiac imaging

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Possession of a science based tertiary degree from a recognised tertiary institute with a strong human physiology component and eligibility for membership with a relevant professional association or organisation.

Blue Card

Whilst not mandatory, relevant additional qualifications or evidence of considerable professional development in cardiac clinical measurements would be well regarded
