Role Overview

We are seeking a creative, client-focused Colour Consultant to guide our customers through the exciting process of selecting colours, finishes, and fixtures for their new homes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on working collaboratively, has an eye for design, and enjoys delivering a high level of personalised service.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct client colour selection appointments in our Ballarat display space

Provide expert advice on internal and external finishes, including paint colours, cabinetry, benchtops, flooring, tiles, fixtures, and fittings

Keep up-to-date with design trends, product ranges, and supplier offerings

Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to finalise selections accurately and on time

Prepare and manage documentation for all client selections

Maintain an organised and visually appealing colour display space

Deliver a warm, professional, and engaging customer experience

About You

Experience in interior design, colour consulting, or a similar role in the residential construction industry is highly desirable

Be able to read and understand building plans

Knowledge of current design and product trends

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Highly organised with attention to detail

Confident using selection software and basic Microsoft Office tools

Able to work both independently and collaboratively with a team

Organising pricing upgrades and ensuring these variations are documented with payment methods

Ensure all upgrade selections are signed off

Display home planning and dressing

Update Job Progress Schedule

Updating of subcontractors information details

Assist with general administration tasks

Other tasks from time to time as requested

Hours & Growth Opportunity

This role will commence at 3 days per week, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, a strong likelihood of additional days in the future as the business continues to grow. We’re looking for someone interested in growing with us and contributing to our long-term vision.
