About the Client:

Rio Tinto Operates the world's largest integrated portfolio of iron ore assets. These assets include a world-class, integrated network of 15 iron ore mines, four port facilities, a 1,700-kilometre rail network and related infrastructure. Rio Tinto are expanding operations in the Pilbara to epic proportions while introducing next generation technologies to deliver greater efficiency, lower production costs and improved health, safety, and environmental performance.

About the Role:

WorkPac is currently in search of an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our esteemed client's team, based in Cape Lambert. This position is based on a FIFO 5/2, 4/3 roster from Perth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Investigate electrical equipment failures using 5 Whys and implement corrective actions.

Review equipment issues/designs and recommend improvements to electrical assets.

Support quality control in loss analysis and accounting processes.

Publish and track daily KPIs related to production-critical systems.

Contribute to the development and improvement of asset maintenance tactics.

Participate in strategy reviews for maintenance and reliability initiatives.

Skills and Experience:

Degree in Electrical Engineering

Previous experience in the mining industry

Strong understanding of defect elimination and downtime analysis

Familiarity with power engineering principles

Experience with instrumentation and control systems

Proven ability to conduct failure investigations

Skilled in developing and reviewing maintenance strategies and asset tactics
