Role Overview
As a Claims Specialist at Tego, you will manage a portfolio of medical indemnity and malpractice claims, overseeing the process from initial notification through to resolution. This role requires meticulous attention to detail in claims administration, ensuring accurate documentation, compliance with regulatory standards, and effective communication with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Claims Administration: Manage the end-to-end claims process, including data entry, documentation, and maintaining accurate records in the claims management system.
Client Support: Provide empathetic and professional support to insured clients and brokers, maintaining clear and regular communication throughout the claims process.
Investigation & Analysis: Conduct thorough investigations into claims, gathering relevant information and documentation to assess liability and coverage.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with legal counsel, medical experts, and other stakeholders to facilitate claim assessments and resolutions.
Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all claims are managed in accordance with regulatory standards and company policies, maintaining accurate records and reporting as required.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development and refinement of claims processes and policies to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Industry Qualification, eg Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Law, Insurance or Healthcare.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in claims management, preferably within medical indemnity or professional liability insurance.
Skills:
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in claims management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously and meet deadlines.
· Understanding of medical terminology and healthcare industry practices is advantageous.

Work Flexibility
At Tego, we offer a hybrid working model that supports both collaboration and flexibility. Team members are based in our Sydney CBD office three days a week, with the option to work remotely for the remaining two.
