Purpose of the Role

A growing organization is seeking a skilled and highly organized Contract Administrator to manage the full contract lifecycle-from drafting and negotiation through execution and renewal. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of contract principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and revise a variety of commercial agreements and contracts.
  • Support the Project Directors with the management of the project budget, commitments forecasting and the preparation of monthly reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information, ensure compliance, and facilitate timely contract execution.
  • Maintain accurate records in contract management systems and track key contract terms, deadlines, and obligations.
  • Support negotiations by identifying contractual risks and recommending revisions.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to internal policies, legal requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Assist in the development of templates, workflows, and best practices for contract processes.
  • Respond to internal inquiries regarding contract terms and provide clarification when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies, or a related field; or relevant certification or relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in contract administration, legal operations, or a related role.
  • Familiarity with contract management software and e-signature tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and time management abilities.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Australian citizenship and otherwise eligible to obtain any required security clearances required for a Defence related facility.
  • Proficiency working with the full range of Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience in a regulated or compliance-heavy industry.
  • Exposure to international contracts or multi-jurisdictional agreements.
