About The Role:
In this leadership position in Bundaberg, you will oversee the daily operations of your allocated residential care program while supporting the development of your youth worker team. Your role will involve guiding a team of youth workers to ensure that the children and young people in our care receive the necessary support to achieve positive outcomes in their development and well-being. You will ensure that our programs comply with Child Safety Standards of Care and incorporate therapeutic approaches to foster a safe and nurturing environment.

Salary between $90,000 to $97 ,500 per annum

Qualifications / Requirements:

Minimum of Certificate IV or higher in Youth Work or Child, Youth and Family Intervention or similar; Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is highly desirable.

2+ years' experience in residential youth work

Current Blue Card

Proven experience within the residential care sector is essential

Current Open/P2 Australian Driver's License

Current First Aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain

Proven experience in leading and developing staff is essential

The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children and young people, is a strong role model, doesn’t take things personally, and can help children and young people explore themselves and their culture with good personal and leadership values.

Availability:
Must be able to do Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, including occasional on-call duties.
